Oatmeal Facial Recipes You Don’t Want To Miss
Posted in fitness and health on May 31st, 2011Utilizing oatmeal in a facial is nothing new-fangled. There are many different homemade facials out there that you can utilize to make your skin appear and feel better. Most people who are experts in homeopathic skin care recommend using oatmeal as one of your primary ingredients.
In this first recipe you’ll need to grind your dry oatmeal into a powder. Next in a separate dish, mix together plain yogurt and honey in equal parts. Blend all ingredients into a paste.
A tablespoon of oatmeal powder, a single egg white, and a few drops of lemon oil are what you need for this first recipe. Lemon oil is sold at most homeopathic stores or you can check the organic section of your grocery store. Grind some of the oatmeal you have on hand to make your own oatmeal powder. Be sure not to use the instant cook kind, though. Be sure to mix the ingredients together completely, especially important since you’re using egg in this mixture. Taking care to avoid your eyes, spread the mixture on your face. Allow mask to dry completely, which should take about twenty minutes. After it’s dried, wash off with water and a soft washcloth.
Combine a fourth cup of oatmeal, a fourth cup of almonds, a tablespoon of cornstarch, and a tablespoon of chamomile tea for the next recipe. Place the mixture into glass jars after blending them together in a blender or a food processor. Use by placing a couple teaspoons of the mixture on your hand and adding a bit of water to form a paste. Gently spread the paste onto your face in soft circular motions using your fingers. After spreading it on your face, avoiding the eyes, rinse with warm water and a soft wash cloth.
One other recipe involves tomatoes, oatmeal, and lemon juice. Use a blender to combine ingredients into a paste that will be a coarse texture. Follow your normal washing routine.
As you can see there are many types of facial methods you can choose from. Before you spread your own mix across your skin do a patch test for sensitivity. With some luck you’ll find a recipe that works well for your sin without the expense of the spa.
